ITV1 Regions on Sky Digiboxes
If you want to watch other ITV Regions on Sky, below are the three frequencies you need to tune in. It's handy if you want to follow a news story in a particular area, or in some cases, watch some teams other than Celtic, Manchester United or Rangers dominating the news
I've tried to make it as foolproof as posible too, hence almost every detail you need to get there.
To Add Channels:
(The groups are known as ‘bouquets’)
Services > 4 > 4
Frequency - 10891 Polarity - H Symbol Rate - 22 FEC - 5/6 >
Then highlight Find Channels > Select
Anglia, Border (Southern Scotland) Border (North of England, both always seem to be the same, only where you are watching from matters) Meridian, Tyne Tees, Yorkshire
10832 H 22 5/6
Carlton Central (West), London, West Country, West Country (South) HTV Wales, HTV West
10906 V 22 5/6
Channel Television, Grampian, Granada, Scottish, Ulster
Channels have been known to change bouquet, Granada was once on 10.891, but these three frequencies are always used. If a channel disappears from one bouquet, it will be moved onto one of the other two. This is very rare though.
To select a channel to watch
Services > 6 > Highlight > Select
To change to another region:
Back up > Services > 6 > Scroll down or across > Highlight > Select
You can’t scroll through the channels when on the ‘add channels’. You have to ‘back up’ or select another channel number. Only the programme you are watching and the one after comes up on the information banner. Interactive services are not available either.
If you want a particular ITV channel on top of the add on list (e.g. Granada) pick it’s ‘bouquet’ highlight Scottish, and press the yellow button to store. To get the rest after it, just start from the top of the list, and do not highlight Granada when it comes up again. For obvious reasons you don’t have to select your own region, it’s always 103.
To change from one other region other than your own, to another:
Back up > Services > 6 > Scroll down or across > Highlight > Select
To go to a channel already on the EPG (UKtv Gold, Paramount etc) just type in it’s EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) number. Regional variations on BBC (1 and 2) channels start from 942. Interactive is available on all of them unlike ITV add ons.
There are slight variations on the EPG numbers for the BBC. North West e.g. from outside that area is 948, but on 101 for those who are in the area.
