.. is being held this year on Sunday, May the 8th, 10.30 until 4.
Admission is £3 for adults, under 14s if accompanied by a 'grown up' are free. I'm not sure what it is for under 14's without an adult, the website advertising it doesn't say.
On sale will be bits and bats for all sorts of receivers, as well as computer accessories. Mobile phones, especially old ones will be on sale, as well as chargers etc. Recreate 'Dom Jolly' in your own home too, possibly, some of the phones last time were that old and big
Equipment on sale will also be both new, and at least 2nd hand.
Oh, and there is the sweetie stall !!! I love chocolate coated raisins, by the way, ahem.
The Magnum is about a 10 minute walk from the railway station, first train from Glasgow is 9 am (35 mins approx of a journey) and 8.45 from Ayr (20 mins approx). Trains are hourly from either end.
From Kilmarnock all the way into the Magnum by bus (well, the bottom of the ramp, it would make a mess if it went all the way in) it's Stagecoach route 21's. They take in Dundonald and Drybridge, very pretty they are too... The bus stop is at the bottom of the ramp.
Route 11's are more regular and direct to Irvine, and it's about 20 / 25 mins from Irvine Cross, via the Rivergate Shopping Centre, to walk it. Both the Stagecoach and little red or new corporate livery First Buses take about 20 minutes from Kilmarnock to Irvine. Return fare is about £1.80. First Bus use 11A as their route number, and you can't go wrong with them, as it's the only route they have in the county!
Magnum staff if you perchance want to have a sneaky listen, are on 459.800. There will be ham activity on 145.525 within the centre.
If I can be there, I'll be the one in the 'Mackenzie'
