Hi troops, got an AOR 8200 for £100 on ebay, is that good or bad price ?

Depends on it's condition, and which of the 3 'marks' it is. If it's decent conditioned Mk 1, it's ok. They stopped making them I think about 2 years ago.
1000 channels is enough almost for anyone, unless you are like me and travel a bit. I have different banks for different users (Marine, Air, Police Vhf, Police Uhf, then general pmr stuff) I also have banks for individual areas (Cumbria, Lancashire, Cleveland etc)
It's a decent wee box, not everyone likes them, but some people are too fussy etc. There are radio's out there I don't like, but they are other people's happy choices. It can be a complicated bit of kit as well to a new listener. There are things I've never used on it, and frequencies I never seem to explore.
Mine has had problems, but it's well used, never gone a day without me switching it on. I've had it 4 1/2 years, and it's been back at AoR twice, but both times partly my fault too.
